6-30-04 The Plan and the Local jointly have announced enhancements to the Retirement Health Care Program. The Program annual funding payout has been increased by 33%; now, up to 4% annually. The eligibility age has been reduced from 62 to 61. These provisions are effective as of 9-1-04.

6-18-04 A tentative agreement has been reached between Local 3357 negotiators and the Plan. Details will be posted soon. An itemization of new provisions is being prepared and will be mailed to all members together with ratification materials early next week.

PLEASE NOTE: The negotiation committee will NOT answer any questions or provide information to anyone until the summary/ratification materials are delivered to the membership. After that time, questions can be presented to the committee. The committee is comprised of Paul Colavecchio, Tim Holder, Cindy Tuczynski, Roger White, M.J.Van Sickle, and AFSCME Council 66 Rep, Peter Nickles.

3-11-04 The Local's Negotiating Committee is meeting at the end of March in Detroit to continue bargaining preparations for the 2004 CBA sessions with the Plan.

3-11-04 Initial meetings with the Plan are already scheduled for 4-30-04 and 5-1-04.

2-2-04: The Server upgrade is now complete and the site reconfigured.

  • A new Message Board has been implemented which has many more features than the old boards and is more flexible and allows for future upgrading. The board is set up to require users to register to view and post.
  • The search tool is now powered by Google and will search the sitewide only or Google's internet databases, at your option.
  • The Chat Board is discontinued.
  • New "plumbing" provides more administrative tools, some security enhancements, and allows for future upgrading.

After you register, a validation e-mail will be sent and the webmaster will confirm your access privileges. Please direct any questions to the webmaster. We expect some questions and confusion at first.

1-16-04: The St. Louis-based arbitration over use of sick time leave has been decided in the Local's favor! More details will be posted soon.

1-16-04: The Local has tentatively scheduled its 2004 membership meeting for 10/8 - 10/9/04 in Memphis, Tennessee. Details will be forthcoming and will be posted on the Meeting Page.
