Many
members have voiced complaints about health insurance claims processing
problems and with denial of coverage problems. Some have experienced
excessive delays in claims processing and payments, have had to make
excessive contact with Great-West claims representatives to get claims
processed, and have had claims previously covered in whole or in part
by our prior insurer, Allmerica, denied.
The
Local is seeking information and input from the membership about their
experiences. It is conceivable that the Plan's present coverage scheme
is not as valuable as the prior scheme and may violate the CBA's requirement
of "equivalency".
For
purposes of framing a grievance or grievances, the Local would like
member responses to the following survey questions:
